The Entrepreneurship Club of New Horizon College, Kasturinagar, in prestigious association with the MSME Technology Centre, Bengaluru (Ministry of MSME, Government of India), successfully conducted a transformative Five-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) from February 23rd to 27th, 2026. Hosted at the college’s Seminar Hall, the programme focused on the critical themes of Leadership and Team Building, drawing an enthusiastic cohort of 40 internal faculty members and 8 external participants. This collaborative initiative was designed to enhance leadership effectiveness, strengthen institutional dynamics, and foster a robust culture of innovation within the academic community.

The sessions were led by Squadron Leader G. Srikala, a seasoned industry expert and Founder of Meghana Consultants, who brought a unique blend of military precision and corporate insight to the curriculum. Throughout the week, participants were guided through a structured exploration of leadership fundamentals, decision-making strategies, and emotional intelligence. The pedagogy went far beyond traditional lectures, utilizing interactive role-plays, real-time case studies, and team-based tasks that challenged participants to build trust, coordination, and practical problem-solving skills in real-world scenarios.

The curriculum unfolded progressively, beginning with the “3 I’s” of Leadership—Influence, Impact, and Inspiration—as introduced by Dr. Chandrashekar Bendigeri. High-stakes case studies, such as Ernest Shackleton’s Antarctic Expedition, provided a profound look at crisis management and resilience. Subsequent days delved into the mechanics of empathetic communication, stress management, and a comparative analysis of diverse leadership styles, ranging from transformational to democratic. The final stages of the programme focused on the ethical dimensions of leadership and the specific dynamics required to sustain high-performing teams in a modern workplace.

The programme reached its successful conclusion with a valedictory address by Mr. Praveen Kumar MP, Head of Training at the MSME Technology Centre, who lauded the participants for their commitment to professional evolution. To recognize their achievement, E-Certificates were issued by the Government of India, marking a significant milestone in their professional journeys. Coordinated by Venkata Lakshmi K, Assistant Professor and Entrepreneur Club Head, the FDP not only strengthened individual competencies but also reinforced the institution’s overarching mission to achieve academic excellence through continuous learning and ethical leadership.
