The Department of Commerce at New Horizon College, Kasturi Nagar, in association with the E-Cell and IIC, conducted a two-day workshop on “Product Market Fit; Prototype/Process Design and MVP Development” on 17th and 18th March 2026.

The session aimed to provide students with knowledge on transforming innovative ideas into viable business products. The resource person, Dr Sujin Jose, shared valuable insights into the start-up ecosystem and the process of identifying market needs. Students gained an understanding of the importance of Product Market Fit and the significance of recognising customer requirements.

The workshop also introduced various techniques for validating business ideas and analysing market demand. Participants were guided through Prototype and Process Design methods to test product functionality and gather feedback effectively. The concept of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) was explained as a strategic approach to reducing risks and optimising resources.

The workshop proved to be highly informative and successfully enhanced students’ understanding of key entrepreneurial concepts and product development strategies.
