Report | The Department of Commerce organised a Seminar on Global Career Opportunities on 4th September 2026 for the students of I Semester B.Com B and C Sections. The session was conducted to create awareness among students about professional qualifications and career opportunities available in the global business and finance sector. The resource person for the session was Mr. Maheshwar Narayanan, Assistant Vice President, Imarticus Learning. He provided valuable insights into professional courses such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and CMA (Certified Management Accountant). He explained the scope, eligibility, career prospects, and global recognition of these qualifications, highlighting how they can enhance students’ employability and open opportunities in areas such as Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Taxation, Management Accounting, and Financial Analysis. The seminar helped students understand the importance of acquiring professional qualifications alongside their undergraduate degree and encouraged them to explore professional courses based on their interests and career goals.
