Objectives
To guide the faculty on the preparation of COPO, PEO and PSO.
To clarify the ambiguity related to COPO, PEO and PSO with reference to NAAC Accreditation.
A Faculty Development program was organized by New Horizon College, Kasturinagar for the degree teaching faculty on 21st November 2020 from 10.00 AM onwards to provide guidance on the preparation of Course Outcome and Program Outcome , Program Educational Objective and Program Specific Outcome for all streams. The program also aimed at clarifying the ambiguity related to COPO, PEO and PSO with reference to NAAC Accreditation. The speaker Dr.K.C.R. Nisha, Professor, New Horizon College of Engineering was introduced and welcomed by Mrs. Jyothi J, HOD, Department of Management.
The speaker spoke in detail about the requirements of outcome based education, its key constituents and its framework. She also added that the course outcome should be in cohesion with the program outcome which in turn should correlate with the institution Vision and Mission statement. She guided the faculty on course attainment calculation and was quick at answering all the queries of the faculty. The very interactive session was filled with deliberation from the resource person and the faculty equally. The Faculty Development Program came to a close at 1.00 PM with a vote of thanks.
Outcome
The desired outcome of the Faculty development program was achieved with the faculty acquiring better understanding and clarity on the preparation of COPO, PEO and PSO and its attainment calculation. The Zeal in the faculty to plunge into action and work on it served as an evidence for the success of the program.
