Orientation Day 2026 was organized on 25 July 2026 at New Horizon College, Kasturinagar, to warmly welcome the newly admitted students of BCA, B.COM, and BBA.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Vivek Vinayak Purekar, Head of Global Talent Management & India HR Leader, Clearwater Analytics, addressed the students and their parents on important principles for building a successful career. He emphasized the importance of developing skills alongside the degree syllabus, building strong foundations through in-depth learning, and creating a clear 10-year career vision. He also highlighted the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and encouraged students to understand and use AI as a valuable tool, irrespective of their chosen field.
He further stressed the importance of discipline, respect for teachers, and making full use of the opportunities and resources available at the college, including cultural and sports activities, NCC and NSS.
The programme familiarized students with the college, its academic environment, facilities, and various opportunities available for their overall development. The orientation provided students with valuable guidance and motivation as they began their academic journey at the institution.
