The Department of Computer Applications, New Horizon College, Kasturi Nagar, Bangalore, successfully organized a four-day celebration in connection with National Technology Day from 06/05/2026 to 09/05/2026. Day 1 – 06/05/2026: A workshop on “Power BI” was conducted to provide students with practical knowledge of data visualization, dashboard creation, and business analytics using Microsoft Power BI. Day 2 – 07/05/2026: An exhibition on “AI Deepfake Detection in the Digital Era” was organized to create awareness about deepfake technology, cybersecurity, and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence. Day 3 – 08/05/2026: The competition “Toynovation Fest – AI Toys: Ignite the Future of Play” was conducted to encourage creativity, innovation, teamwork, and AI-based toy concepts among students. Day 4 – 09/05/2026: An expert talk by Mr. Srinivas H.L., Scientist, ISRO Satellite Centre, was organized to provide insights on space technology, innovation, and emerging technologies. The programs aimed to enhance students’ technical knowledge, creativity, analytical skills, and awareness of emerging technologies. Students actively participated in hands-on learning activities, AI-based competitions, and interactive sessions on cybersecurity, business intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, and space technology. The events provided valuable exposure to real-time applications of modern technologies and encouraged innovation, research, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Overall, the four-day celebration was highly informative, engaging, and beneficial in motivating students towards technology-driven learning and future career opportunities. |
