The Department of Commerce organised an Induction Programme on “Career Opportunities as a Company Secretary (CS)” on 28th July 2026 for 190 first-year B.Com students.
The session was conducted by CS Adithya Sri Hari, Founder and Proprietor of Adithya Sri Hari and Co., Practicing Company Secretaries, and CS Akshata Rao, Company Secretary, Consultant, and Faculty at the ICSI Bengaluru Chapter. The resource people explained the role, responsibilities, eligibility, course structure, examinations, and training requirements of the CS profession.
They highlighted career opportunities in corporate organisations, financial institutions, PSUs, and multinational companies.

Students actively participated, clarified their doubts, and gained valuable insights into the CS profession. The programme motivated students to consider CS as a career option and enhanced their awareness of opportunities in corporate governance and professional management.
