Description: | The Department of Commerce organized a seminar on “BSE’s Investor Awareness Program” on 19th August 2026 for the students of I Semester B.COM in classroom D22 and D24. Ms. Marina Jose Kanjikal from the Investor Protection Fund, BSE Ltd., served as the resource person. The session focused on creating awareness among students about financial literacy, investment opportunities, risk assessment, and investor protection. The resource person explained the importance of making informed investment decisions, understanding risks and returns, and relying on authentic sources of financial information. Students were also sensitized to financial frauds, the importance of investor rights, and the need for responsible financial planning. Overall, the programme enhanced students’ understanding of investment practices and investor protection and encouraged them to make informed and responsible financial decisions.
