Description

Objective

The Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme was organised with the objective of creating awareness among degree students about entrepreneurship, innovation, and the opportunities available for starting and developing their own ventures. The programme aimed to motivate students to think creatively, identify business opportunities, understand the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and develop essential skills related to Research, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Patent Search and Filing, Research Paper Writing, Publication Strategies, Research Ethics, and Research Funding and AI Tools. It also sought to encourage students to transform innovative ideas into sustainable entrepreneurial initiatives.

Benefits

The programme provided students with valuable exposure to the practical aspects of entrepreneurship and innovation through expert guidance and mentoring. Participants gained awareness of Patents and Intellectual Property Protection, Research and Publication Practices, Ethical Considerations, Funding Opportunities, and the Use of AI Tools in Research and Innovation. The interaction with mentors from the MSME ecosystem helped students understand available entrepreneurial opportunities and support mechanisms, while encouraging creativity, problem-solving, leadership, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The programme also motivated students to explore self-employment and startup opportunities rather than limiting themselves to conventional career paths.
