Report

A Five-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was organised by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and IQAC in association with the MSME Technology Centre, Bengaluru (A Government of India Society). The program was conducted from 3rd August 2026 to 7th August 2026 at the Seminar Hall, New Horizon College.

The FDP aimed to equip faculty members with comprehensive knowledge of patents, copyrights, trademarks, industrial designs, and other forms of intellectual property. Eminent resource persons from the MSME Technology Centre delivered expert sessions on patent filing procedures, innovation management, technology transfer, and commercialisation of research. Interactive discussions, practical case studies, and question-and-answer sessions enhanced participants’ understanding of IPR practices and their application in academia. The program encouraged faculty to strengthen research, innovation, and entrepreneurship initiatives while fostering an IPR-driven culture within the institution. The FDP concluded successfully with active participation from faculty members, enriching their knowledge and motivating them to contribute towards research excellence and intellectual property protection.
