The Department of Commerce organised an insightful seminar titled ‘Global Education 2026 – Strategic Opportunities and Pitfalls to Avoid’ for first-year B.Com students at 11.00 a.m. The primary objective of the session was to guide students in navigating global educational ecosystems while helping them avoid common pitfalls.

The session was delivered by expert speaker, Mr Ajay Nair from the International Institute of Medical Science and Technology Council. He offered a practical, step-by-step overview of the financial resources and government support available to students aspiring to study abroad. He emphasised that financial barriers should not discourage capable students, and highlighted key government initiatives, including the National Overseas Scholarship for Minorities, the Prabuddha Overseas Scholarship, and the Overseas Educational Loan Scheme.

The students gained a comprehensive understanding of the financial resources available for international studies and learned how to strategically utilise government scholarships to overcome financial barriers.
