The Department of Commerce, in association with the Career Counselling and Guidance Cell, organised an insightful seminar on “Career Guidance on Global Career Opportunities” at 11:00 a.m. for the students of First Year B.Com.

The seminar was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about the wide range of career opportunities available at the global level and to guide them in making informed career choices.

The session was delivered by Mr. Maheshwar Narayanan, Assistant Vice President at Imarticus Learning. The resource person shared valuable insights into globally recognised professional courses such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and CMA (Certified Management Accountant), highlighting their scope, eligibility criteria, and career prospects. He emphasised the importance of acquiring professional qualifications alongside practical skills to enhance employability in international markets.

The seminar enhanced students’ awareness of global career opportunities and professional courses. It helped them gain clarity on career planning and inspired them to develop the necessary skills and qualifications required to succeed in the global job market.
