Vision
To foster a safe, inclusive, respectful, and gender-sensitive campus environment at New Horizon College where every student and employee feels secure, valued, and empowered to pursue academic and professional excellence without fear of harassment or discrimination.
Mission
- To uphold the dignity and rights of all members of the college community.
- To prevent and address incidents of sexual harassment in accordance with the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act and institutional policies.
- To create awareness about gender equality, mutual respect, and professional conduct.
- To ensure timely, fair, confidential, and impartial redressal of complaints.
- To promote a culture of zero tolerance toward any form of harassment.
Objectives of the Committee:
- Create Awareness: To educate students and staff about what sexual harassment is and how to prevent it.
- Provide a Safe Platform: To give everyone a safe and confidential space to share their complaints.
- Ensure Fair Action: To look into complaints honestly, fairly, and without delay.
- Maintain Confidentiality: To protect the privacy of the person who files the complaint and others involved.
- Offer Support: To guide and support the person who feels harassed.
- Take Necessary Action: To recommend suitable action if the complaint is found to be true.
- Promote Respectful Environment: To encourage mutual respect and equality on campus.
Reformation of Members – Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
The Internal Complaints Committee shall be reconstituted as per the guidelines of the POSH Act and institutional norms to ensure fairness, transparency, and proper representation.
