NCC Activities

A Weapon Training Session for NCC Cadets was held on 20th March 2026 by 6 Karnataka Battalion NCC for the Cadets of 3/2 Coy, New Horizon College – Kasturinagar. The session was led by experienced instructor Sub. Patel (Retd.), who provided comprehensive training on the 7.62 mm Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) and the .22 Rifle. Cadets were introduced to the fundamental aspects of weapon handling, including stringent safety protocols, detailed parts identification, and correct operational techniques.

The training was highly interactive, with cadets actively participating in demonstrations of assembling and disassembling the 7.62 mm rifle, significantly enhancing their technical understanding and confidence. Selected cadets, including Cdt. Manoj R, Cdt. Rohit, and Cdt. Harati, showcased their practical skills under expert supervision. This hands-on experience was pivotal in preparing the cadets for advanced marksmanship and reinforcing the discipline required for national service.
