The Research and Development Cell and the Department of Computer Applications, New Horizon College, Kasturinagar, Bengaluru, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council, successfully organized an “IDEA to Prototype Development Clinic” for II Year BCA students. The event witnessed the participation of 75 students, who actively engaged in the session.
The primary objective of the “Prototype Development & Validation Clinic”, with a focus on Internet of Things (IoT), was to provide continuous technical support in transforming innovative ideas into functional prototypes. The clinic aimed to facilitate technical validation of these prototypes through expert mentorship, thereby encouraging deep-tech research and innovation in the IoT domain.
The session provided hands-on guidance to students, enabling them to design, develop, and refine their IoT-based projects. Expert mentors offered valuable insights, ensuring that the prototypes met technical standards and were optimized for performance and real-world application.
The clinic played a significant role in bridging the gap between conceptual ideas and practical implementation. It fostered an environment of innovation, creativity, and technical learning among students, encouraging them to explore advanced technological solutions.
Outcome
The clinic successfully enabled students to convert their IoT ideas into working prototypes with expert guidance, making them more aligned with industry requirements. Participants gained practical exposure, enhanced their technical skills, and received valuable feedback from industry experts.
