The Department of Computer Applications, New Horizon College, Kasturi Nagar, Bangalore, organised a seminar on “E-Waste Management in Digital Era” for the II Semester BCA students.

A total of 41 students actively participated in the seminar. The objective of the seminar was to create awareness among students about the growing problem of electronic waste (e-waste) and its environmental impact in today’s rapidly advancing digital world. With the increasing use of electronic devices such as smartphones, laptops, and other digital equipment, the issue of proper disposal and recycling has become highly significant.

The session began with a brief introduction highlighting the importance of responsible digital consumption. The speaker explained the meaning of e-waste, its sources, and the hazardous materials present in electronic devices. Special emphasis was given to the environmental and health risks caused by improper disposal of electronic waste.
