Department of Computer Science Conducted FIX THE BUG COMPETITION on 06-Feb-2020
Objective :
To enhance the ability in debugging the programs which is a neccesary skill for students. Debugging is the art of diagnosing errors in software programs and determining how to correct them. This event was crafted in order to cultivate and improve the programming skills necessary to each student. All the teams will be given the same set of 10 programs in C programming. Each team will be allowed to use only a single computer and must test their programs on that machine, wholly within the contest room. This round requires the contestants to correct the errors and get the correct solution as many programs from a list of 10 Programs within 30 minutes. Outcome: Students were able to detect and remove any existing and potential errors (also called as ‘bugs’) in a software code that can cause it to behave unexpectedly or crash.
