Workshop On Placement Induction Program: I Semester B.com, Bba
he Placement Induction program was organised on 10.8.2024 for I Semester B. Com, BBA and BCA students. Dr. Gurucharan Singh, Senior Executive Director (Corporate Relations, Learning and Development, Placements), Anis Mirza, Executive Director of HRD, and Ms. Bhanti Gupta, Placement Coordinator: NHCK, were present for the session.
Students were given insights on the placement process, pre-placement and placement talk.
The Placement Department in a college is responsible for facilitating the recruitment process for students and ensuring they secure internships, jobs, or other career opportunities after graduation. It includes
- Career Counseling: Providing guidance on resume building, interview preparation, and career planning.
- Job Placement: Connecting students with potential employers, scheduling interviews, and facilitating hiring.
- Internship Coordination: Arranging internships, apprenticeships, or training programs for students to gain practical experience.
- Company Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with employers, industry partners, and alumni to create job opportunities.
- Campus Recruitment: Organizing campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and industry-specific events.
- Student Preparation: Conducting workshops, training sessions, and mock interviews to prepare students for the job market.
- Alumni Network: Leveraging the college’s alumni network to provide mentorship, job opportunities, or career advice.
- Placement Statistics: Tracking and analyzing placement data to improve department performance and student outcomes.
- Industry Interface: Collaborating with industry experts to provide insights, guest lectures, or project opportunities.
- Student Support: Offering support and resources for students to succeed in their careers.
