Description | The Department of Computer Science, New Horizon College, Kasturinagar, Bangalore, organised a Value-Added Programme (VAP) on the Internet of Things (IoT) for IV Semester BCA students from 28th February 2026 to 7th, 16th, and 17th March 2026. The programme aimed to enhance students’ practical knowledge and technical skills in emerging IoT technologies. The sessions introduced students to key IoT concepts such as sensors, embedded systems, connectivity, cloud integration, and real-world applications. Through demonstrations and practical learning, students developed an understanding of how smart devices communicate and how IoT is applied in areas such as smart homes, healthcare, agriculture, and industrial automation. A total of 108 students participated in the programme and gained valuable knowledge about IoT technologies, helping them improve their technical awareness and encouraging them to explore innovative IoT-based solutions.
