The Department of Commerce organized a Value Added Program for I Sem B.Com students. The resource person was Mr. Sarvanan, a Corporate Trainer and subject expert..

 

Objectives :

The objective of the Value Added Program on MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint was to enhance students’ practical knowledge and hands-on proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, enabling them to create professional documents, manage and analyze data effectively, and design impactful presentations. The program aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application by developing essential documentation, data handling, analytical, and presentation skills required for academic excellence and industry readiness, thereby improving students’ overall productivity, accuracy, and professional competence.

Outcome:

The Value Added Program successfully equipped participants with practical and application-oriented skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, enabling them to efficiently handle data, prepare professional documents, and deliver effective presentations. Participants gained proficiency in using Excel functions, charts, PivotTables, dashboards, and data analysis tools for accurate decision-making, while also developing strong document formatting and content presentation skills in Word. Additionally, the program enhanced their ability to design visually appealing and well-structured presentations using PowerPoint, boosting their confidence, productivity, and readiness for academic, professional, and industry-related tasks.
