Report: The Department of Management organized a Value-Added Program on “Business Intelligence and Reporting”. The program was designed to enhance students’ analytical and technical skills, with each session focusing on the practical and conceptual understanding of BI tools, data analytics, and dashboard development. Participants gained exposure to real-time data handling and reporting methodologies essential in modern business environments.
Objectives:
- To introduce students to the concepts of Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics.
- To enable learners to analyze and visualize business data using MS Excel and Power BI.
- To develop practical skills in data cleaning, modeling, and dashboard creation.
- To empower participants to derive actionable business insights from data-driven decision-making.
- To provide hands-on experience through a capstone project simulating real-world business scenarios.
Outcome: The Value-Added Program successfully enhanced participants’ proficiency in business data analysis and reporting. Students demonstrated improved capabilities in using analytical tools and creating interactive dashboards. The sessions encouraged analytical thinking, strategic interpretation of data, and an understanding of how BI supports managerial decision-making.
Conclusion: This program bridged the gap between academic learning and industry expectations, preparing students to confidently handle data-centric roles in their future careers.
