Trekking and Rock Climbing Expedition to Nijagal Betta
3/2 Coy NCC of New Horizon College – Kasturinagar successfully organized an adventurous and skill-oriented trekking event at Nijagal Betta on 25th March 2026. The activity brought together NCC cadets for a day filled with trekking, map reading, and rock climbing, promoting both physical endurance and mental resilience. Cadets actively participated in navigation exercises, enhancing their practical knowledge of map reading and terrain understanding. The rock climbing session helped build confidence, teamwork, and determination among participants.
The event was organized by NCC Officer Ms. Nandini T, with expert support from Sub. Lokesh (Retd.) PI Staff, 6 Karnataka Battalion NCC, Group ‘A’ Bengaluru, Professional Trek Leader & Adventure Educator Mr. Aravinda K R, and Instructor Ms. Aishwarya. Set against the scenic backdrop of Nijagal Betta, the program encouraged cadets to connect with nature while developing leadership qualities. Overall, the initiative truly reflected the spirit of NCC—unity, discipline, and courage, making it a rewarding and enriching experience for all cadets.
