The Three-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) on the Coir Industry was organised by New Horizon College, Kasturinagar in association with Coir Board under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The Government of India played a vital role in fostering entrepreneurial awareness and skill development among students. The programme aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge, practical insights, and industry exposure related to entrepreneurship and the coir sector.

The session provided a platform for students to understand the importance of innovation, leadership, and strategic planning in establishing successful business ventures. Expert resource persons shared valuable experiences on entrepreneurial mindset, personality development, financial management, marketing strategies, and government support schemes. The session emphasised the significance of identifying business opportunities, mobilising resources, and building sustainable enterprises.

The industrial visit to a coir manufacturing unit offered hands-on exposure to production processes, operational practices, and real-world business environments.
