Report | The Department of Commerce organised a seminar on “Articulate the Financial Statements for Investment Decisions” on 28 February 2026 at 9.00 AM. The seminar was conducted for the students of Final Year B.Com with the objective of enhancing their understanding of financial statements and their role in making informed investment decisions. The session was delivered by Professor Rajat B Hubballi, Assistant Professor in the MBA Department at New Horizon College of Engineering. The resource person brought valuable academic expertise and practical insights into the subject, making the session highly engaging and informative. The seminar began with an introduction to the importance of financial statements in evaluating a company’s financial health. Professor Rajat explained the key components of financial statements, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement. He emphasised how investors can analyse these statements to assess the profitability, liquidity, solvency, and overall performance of an organisation. The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session, where students gained further clarity on analysing company reports and understanding market perspectives.
