OBJECTIVE: To understand the changes in new technology and provide the ability to pursue new challenging business models or to achieve a significant competitive advantage of using Cloud Computing in software industry.

Cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computer system resources, especially data storage and computing power, without direct active management by the user. The term is generally used to describe data centers available to many users over the Internet.

The Session started at 9:00 AM with a welcome speech by Anusha.M 4^th sem BCA ‘B’ Section. The Speaker of the session was Ms. Vyshnavi Balasundara,  Lead Project Manager, USA,Texas IBM Pvt.Ltd who delivered the keynote address on “Cloud Computing”. She discussed the basic concepts of Cloud Computing initially. Then deliberated on the topics- “Before Cloud Computing”, “Why Cloud Computing?”, “Data Storage on Cloud Computing”, “On premise Vs Cloud Computing”. She quoted some real life examples which were very useful for students. She also demonstrated how cloud computing works in IT industries.

This program was arranged to gain knowledge and practical experience of Cloud Computing from the Innovative, Knowledgeable and Professional Resource Person Ms.Vyshnavi Balasundara who has 12 years of  rich experience in the field of Cloud Computing. The feedback of the session was collected from all participants to incorporate and improvise the upcoming sessions.

OUTCOME:

The objective was achieved as students understood and learned the intended topics. They gained information about how Cloud Computing is used in IT industries and real life applications.
