The NSS Unit of New Horizon College, Kasturinagar organized a “One Day NSS Trekking and Plantation Drive”  on 20th September 2025. The event started at 6:00 AM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from 65 NSS volunteers guided by NSS Programme Officer Mr. Sreenivas B.M. and the NSS Secretary.

The trekking route from the college to “Achulu Betta”, Kanakapura provided an adventurous and invigorating experience for all participants. Volunteers actively engaged in the trek, demonstrating teamwork, leadership, and endurance throughout the journey.

Upon reaching Achulu Betta, the volunteers took part in a Plantation drive, planting saplings to contribute to environmental conservation and promote awareness about sustainability. The activity successfully instilled a sense of responsibility towards nature and reinforced the NSS motto “Not Me, But You.” .
