The campus of New Horizon College, Kasturi Nagar was abuzz with festive fervour and enthusiasm as the faculty and students of the Degree College celebrated the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava on 29 November 2025. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Shravan Rajani, Founder of Creagenix Media, whose presence added great significance to the celebration. The programme commenced with a vibrant rally around Kasturi Nagar, in which the Chief Guest, Principal, faculty members, and students enthusiastically participated. All were clad in the traditional colours of red and yellow, symbolising the pride of Karnataka. This was followed by the hoisting of the Karnataka flag, the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and an inaugural dance performance. Students showcased the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka through creative presentations. Various teams represented different districts of the state through energetic dances, colourful costumes, engaging skits, and innovative props, vividly bringing Karnataka’s diversity and traditions to life. A total of five teams delivered mesmerising performances filled with energy and grandeur, making it a challenging task for the judges, Mr. Kiran Phoenix, Founder of Dance 7 – The Art Factory, and Mr. Bharath Raj, Founder of Dance Bangalore Studio to select the winners. The event reached its peak with a power-packed finale by the Satrang Cultural Team, which had the audience tapping their feet to evergreen retro Kannada songs. The programme concluded with a prize distribution, a vote of thanks, and group photographs. The celebrations ended on a joyful note as students danced to the rhythmic beats of drums before dispersing. Overall, the Kannada Rajyotsava celebration was a memorable occasion that brought the entire college together in a spirit of unity, pride, love, and respect for the state of Karnataka. |
