The Department of Management organized an industrial visit for the IV Semester BBA A and B section students to Garuda Polyflex Foods Private Limited (Gone Mad), located in Bangalore. This initiative aimed to provide students with an immersive and practical understanding of the intricacies of industrial food manufacturing.
Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd., a prominent joint venture between India’s Polyflex Group and Indonesia’s Garuda Food, is well known for its innovative confectionery products, especially the popular Gone Mad brand. During the visit, students had the unique opportunity to witness live operations in a state-of-the-art food production facility.
The primary objective of the visit was to expose students to the real-time functioning of a modern food manufacturing unit, with a focus on key operational aspects such as:

Advanced Production Techniques: Students observed the full production lifecycle—from the handling of raw materials to the final packaging of finished products. The visit highlighted the integration of cutting-edge machinery and technology in streamlining the manufacturing process.

Automation and Process Engineering: The factory tour offered insights into how automation is leveraged for efficiency and consistency. Students learned how programmable logic controllers (PLCs), conveyor systems, and robotics contribute to the seamless flow of production.

Quality Assurance and Food Safety: A significant part of the session was dedicated to understanding the company’s stringent quality control protocols. Students were briefed on safety standards, hygiene practices, and international food safety certifications adhered to by the company, such as ISO and FSSAI compliance.
