The Research and Development Cell, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organised a Faculty Development Programme for all undergraduate faculties. The session was conducted by Dr Akshatha P S, Associate Professor, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru.

Objectives of AI tools in teaching methodologies
AI tools in education aim to enhance teaching and learning through a variety of objectives. They assist in creating visual content such as infographics and videos, organising research, and summarising information. These tools also help generate questions and assessments, streamline teaching workflows, support tutoring, and aid curriculum development. AI tools can adapt content for diverse learners, create presentations and videos, and provide constructive writing feedback. Overall, their goal is to make teaching more efficient and effective, allowing educators to focus on what matters most – student success.

Outcome
AI-driven analytics provide faculty with data-informed insights to guide instruction and support student success. Consequently, students are more likely to achieve better academic performance and remain motivated. Additionally, AI tools automate administrative tasks, freeing up faculty time for more focused instruction and mentorship, ultimately leading to a more efficient and effective learning environment.
