“Awareness Program On Alumni Cell and It’s Significance”
Description of the Program:
Alumni Cell organized awareness program on Alumni Cell and Its Significance on 07th September 2023, for final year BCom/BCA/BBA students.
The session began with welcoming and introducing the guest Dr. Anitha S Rai, Director – Library and Alumni relations NHEI, has 26 years of experience as an Academic librarian.
The resource person initiated the session with discussions on introducing the Alumni Cell to the current final batch and highlighting the significance of Alumni Cell.
In this light the resource person discussed about the Alumni Cell by taking the students to visualise the website and highlighting the activities conducted through Alumni cell, list of recognised alumni from different batches were highlighted.
Some of the important topics discussed were
• How to connect and build your network through alumni portal
• Advantages of being an registered alumni
• How to register to the Alumni portal
• Procedure to apply for digital ID
• Benefits of having digital ID
Also the speaker highlighted on how individual students can participate in voting procedure to elect the alumni committee members.
A demo session was done to give insights on registration procedure.
Students took active participation in answering and gaining the knowledge on how they need to register to alumni portal.
Objective
The objective of the session was achieved as students were able to gain knowledge on the significance of alumni cell.
Students were enlightened about registration procedure and most of the students registered on to the portal on the same day.
