IIC (Institution Innovation Council)

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) is a government initiative by the Ministry of Education, aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education institutions. It encourages students and faculty to engage in creative problem-solving, idea generation, and startup activities. IIC fosters collaboration between academia and industry, providing a platform for practical exposure and networking. The council organizes various events such as workshops, hackathons, and mentorship programs to nurture innovative thinking. Through IIC, institutions support the development of intellectual property and encourage commercialization of innovative ideas.

Mission of IIC

Objectives of IIC (Institution’s Innovation Council):
  1. Promote Innovation & Entrepreneurship – Cultivate a culture of innovation by encouraging students and faculty to develop creative solutions and entrepreneurial mindsets.
  2. Facilitate Startup Ecosystem – Support student and faculty-led startups through incubation, mentoring, and access to funding opportunities.
  3. Enhance Industry-Academia Collaboration – Strengthen partnerships with industries, startups, and government bodies to bridge the gap between academia and real-world applications.
  4. Organize Innovation & Skill Development Programs – Conduct workshops, hackathons, boot camps, and expert talks to enhance technical and entrepreneurial skills.
